Karaganda Regional Museum of Local History

Established in 1932, the museum is one of the oldest and largest cultural institutions in the region. Its exhibitions cover the history of the region from ancient times to the present day. Archaeology Hall: Features unique finds from the Stone, Bronze, and Iron Ages discovered in Saryarka. Highlights include the reconstruction of the "Golden Man" from the Taldy-2 mound and artifacts from the Begazy-Dandybay settlement. Nature of the Region: Dioramas and exhibits demonstrating the rich flora and fauna, including rare animals listed in the Red Data Book. Ethnography: A collection of Kazakh national applied arts, including a fully furnished yurt, traditional clothing, silver jewelry, and musical instruments. Modern History: Displays dedicated to World War II, the industrial development of the region, space exploration history, and the era of Independent Kazakhstan. Interactive Features: The museum uses modern technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and QR codes to provide an immersive historical experience.
