Karaganda Mining and Industrial Museum

The Museum-Mine is located at the Karaganda Mining and Industrial College and is a unique educational and tourist attraction. It is a real training mine situated underground at a depth of about 15 meters, fully simulating actual coal mining conditions. Key Features: Underground Exhibition: Visitors descend into actual mine workings where the main elements of underground mining infrastructure are presented. Machinery and Equipment: The drifts feature operating mechanisms, including tunneling and mining combines, trolleys, belt conveyors, and support systems. History of Mining: The exhibition tells the story of the Karaganda coal basin, the miners' labor, and the evolution of mining technologies from manual labor to automation.
