On October 8, the Visit Karaganda team conducted the "Industrial Karaganda" information tour, aimed at developing industrial and historical tourism in the region. The Karaganda region is not only about natural beauty but is also the center of Kazakhstan's industrial power. The goal of the tour is to show the region from a new perspective, where history and industry merge into a single itinerary. The tour was attended by tour operators, journalists, bloggers, influencers, and stakeholders interested in developing this direction. The route began at the Historical and Cultural Center of the First President in Temirtau, where the history of metallurgy and the industrial development of the region was presented. Next, participants rode the Temirtau city tram — one of only three cities in Kazakhstan where tram service still operates. It is particularly noteworthy that the trams were manufactured at the domestic QazTehna plant. The next stop was the Botanical (Winter) Garden, where participants saw palms and dozens of species of rare plants, creating the atmosphere of a living greenhouse in the middle of the city. Then, the participants visited a museum-mine, which clearly demonstrated the coal mining process and the development of the region's mining industry. One of the highlights of the route was the "WEC TRADE" household chemicals plant — a manufacturer of domestic everyday goods. This is high-quality, competitive production that Kazakhstan can be proud of. After lunch in nature, amidst a green forest belt, the tour continued at the "Tengri Tyres" tire plant — the only one of its kind in Kazakhstan. Participants saw the entire cycle: from raw materials to finished tires, including vulcanization and tread formation. The final point was the "Karlag" Museum of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression, which left a powerful emotional impression. Thus, a new tourist route has emerged in the Karaganda region — "Industrial Karaganda," revealing the region as a center of the country's industrial, historical, and cultural heritage.
